Kickback Foundation to Celebrate Five Years of  Service through Arts, Music and Fashion

PHILADELPHIA (June 9, 2017) – Hip-Hop Humanitarian and Southwest Philadelphia Ambassador Mont Brown will celebrate the 5th Annual Kickback Music Festival, Friday June 16, 2017- Saturday, June 17, 2017.  The two-day festival will feature a Basketball Classic and Sneaker Drive as well as live music, entertainment and family friendly activities.

 Founded in 2013 by Mont Brown, the Kickback Festival was created as a movement to stop the violence and provide a platform to engage the Southwest Philadelphia community through arts, music, fashion and fitness.

 “Hip-hop and music saved my life,” said Mont Brown, Founder of the Kickback Foundation.  “It is important to me to give my community and my neighborhood a platform to express themselves and showcase their talents.”


  • Friday, June 16, 2017:  Basketball Classic and Sneaker Drive at 5:00PM at the University of the Sciences, 600 S 43rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Adults: $10 Kids: $5.  Guests are asked to bring NEW or gently used sneakers that will be donated to Philadelphia youth shelters and under served youth in Haiti.

  • Saturday, June 17, 2017:  Kickback Music Festival at 12:00PM at 5500 Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19143 featuring live performances from Billboard No. 1 artist and Philadelphia’s own Guordan Banks, Lee Mazin, Solis and more.

    The Kickback Festival is sponsored by State Senator Anthony Williams., State Representative Joanna McClinton, Councilwoman Jannie Blackwell, Councilman Kenyatta Johnson, KICKS USA, Boom 103.9, AT&T, The Fresh Grocer, On Point Communications and Verified Identity.
